~*September 5, 2007*~

Patrick took a breath just before his body hit the water. His momentum propelled him deeper into the ocean.

FUCK, I CAN'T FUCKING SWIM!!

Panic began to set in. Patrick flailed his arms and legs in an attempt to push himself upward, which only made the situation worse.

Don't breathe... PLEASE don't breathe... Patrick begged himself.

An air bubble escaped Patrick's mouth, drifting its way to the top.

Please... no...

Patrick could feel his urge to breathe growing stronger and stronger by the second.

NO! NOO!! He screamed mentally.

Patrick's body won the fight and he inhaled. He convulsed at the rush of air hitting his windpipe.

HELP ME, PETE!!

Darkness clawed at the edges of Patrick's vision. A burst of sadness overwhelmed him. He began to cry, his tears immediately mixing with the salt water of the ocean.

This is fucking it... he sobbed internally.

The darkness grew. Patrick's movements grew sluggish. His mind had already grasped the fact that he was about to die.

Where are you, Pete...? Patrick thought.

And the darkness claimed him.

Lost and insecure
You found me
You found me
Lyin' on the floor
Surrounded
Surrounded
Why'd you have to wait?
Where were you?
Where were you?
Just a little late
You found me
You found me...

The first of the prequels to Dead Wrong I meant to post more than a year ago. But my notebook got stolen and I gave up on it until now. Don't know why I randomly remembered (most of) what I wrote NOW...

Continuing with the "using song titles by The Fray" theme. It was either this or "Over My Head (Cable Car)." But the "Cable Car" part didn't make too much sense.

If you randomly decide to draw a picture about this, I'll link it. 'Cause I always do. 'Cause I love you guys. :D

Gave up on life?
*I* wouldn't say that...
But I'll read it again with that in mind and see what you mean.
